NGT Referential Data Manager

The golden record layer for fund and entity static data. Consolidate, resolve, and maintain the reference data that every other tool draws from.

NGT Referential Data Manager maintains the master reference data set that the rest of SPARK operates on. Most operations environments have fund static data spread across multiple source systems, each with its own version of identifiers, classifications, and fund attributes. When those versions conflict, every downstream process that touches them inherits the inconsistency.

How it works

The tool consolidates reference data from multiple source systems, applies resolution rules to handle conflicts, and maintains a single versioned master record per entity. Each version of every record is retained with a full audit trail: what changed, when, and from which source.

The resulting master is the authoritative input for NGT Tools analytics, reconciliation controls, and investigation workflows across the platform.

What it manages

  • Fund and share class static data (legal structure, domicile, currency, benchmark, fee schedules)
  • Instrument reference data (ISIN, SEDOL, Bloomberg ticker, asset class, sector, currency)
  • Counterparty and custodian identifiers
  • Fund administrator and depositary mappings

Conflict resolution

When two sources report different values for the same field, resolution follows a configurable source-priority hierarchy. Conflicts that cannot be resolved automatically are surfaced as data quality events for review.

Agent access

Callable by agents through MCP and APIs. An agent investigating a NAV break can query the referential master directly to confirm whether a static data change on the fund or instrument is a contributing factor.
