Joining LPEA: Bringing the Agentic Operations Ecosystem to Private Markets

·NGT Team

Next Gate Tech has joined the Luxembourg Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LPEA), the leading representative body for the private equity and venture capital industry in Luxembourg.

LPEA brings together GPs, LPs, advisors and service providers who are actively shaping the future of private markets across Europe. Joining is, for us, a natural step. We were founded in Luxembourg in 2019, and our work has been embedded in the operational fabric of regulated fund services from the start.

This is a commitment to engage. To contribute to the conversation. And to be present in the community building the next phase of private markets in Europe.

Why now

Next Gate Tech has been delivering automation in investment operations since 2019. Seven years inside the structural barriers of this industry: the fragmented data, the bespoke workflows, the regulatory weight that makes every decision auditable.

In that time, alongside studying these challenges, we have delivered solutions to some of the largest asset servicers and asset managers in the world. Helping on data management, reconciliation, and workflow automation, ultimately reducing pain points and repetitive manual processes.

What is new is the moment we are in for private markets specifically. What has changed is not the problem. It is what is now possible to do about it.

Generic AI is abundant. Contextualised AI, AI that works reliably inside a regulated financial environment, is rare. For most teams in private assets and venture capital, the gap between what they see AI demos doing and what they can actually deploy in their operational reality remains wide and unclear how to close. SPV proliferation, capital call and distribution mechanics, ILPA reporting, AIFMD aggregation, ATAD 3 substance, ELTIF 2.0 retailisation: every one of these problems has the same two structural roots, fragmented data and bespoke process, that we have spent seven years solving.

That gap is not an AI problem. It is an infrastructure problem. And the infrastructure is now ready to be put to work for these asset classes.

Agentic AI is the ignition. The ecosystem underneath it is the engine. After seven years of building that engine with asset managers and asset servicers in liquid markets, we are bringing it to private markets.

This is what joining LPEA is about. Stepping into a community where the operational complexity is real, the regulatory bar is rising, and the appetite for genuine productivity gains, not just productivity narratives, is sharper than it has ever been.

What we bring to private markets

SPARK is the operating ecosystem for agentic AI automation of investment operations. It is built to serve every asset class with the same rigour. The same discipline around data, workflows, and traceability that regulated finance demands.

For private markets, that means an ecosystem capable of handling the operational reality the asset class actually presents:

  • The proliferation of SPV entities, with static data that needs to live somewhere reliable, lineage-tracked, and updated through controlled workflows rather than email threads.
  • The reconciliation burden between fund administrators, custodians, and GP systems, where breaks need to be classified, assigned, and resolved inside a single auditable trail.
  • The NAV oversight requirement that closed-end and semi-liquid structures impose, where complexity per NAV is high, frequency is irregular, and the audit trail is now a regulatory expectation rather than an internal preference.
  • The volume of unstructured documents, GP reports, subscription documents, side letters, ILPA templates, that needs to be turned into structured, validated, queryable data.
  • The investor reporting load, the AIFMD II, ATAD 3, ELTIF 2.0, and SFDR aggregation work, the fee and waterfall infrastructure: all of it built on the same foundation, not reconstructed each cycle.

None of this is positioned as a replacement for fund administration or fund accounting systems. SPARK is the intelligence and control layer on top of existing infrastructure. The bricks compose differently for a GP, a fund administrator, a ManCo, or a depositary, but the ecosystem is the same.

What we look forward to

Joining LPEA is a commitment to be in the room. To engage with the GPs, LPs, fund administrators, AIFMs, and service providers who are doing the operational work that defines this industry. To contribute to the dialogue on data, technology, and fund operations. And to listen.

Our thanks to the LPEA team for the warm welcome.

The infrastructure for agentic operations in private markets is here. We are looking forward to what we can build together with the LPEA community.
